Two British men became the first foreigners to climb the Mount Everest in two years after an avalanche in 2014 and an earthquake in 2015 hit climbing in Nepal on Thursday with a Mexican colleague.

Kenton Cool and Robert Lucas were climbed Mount Everest along with Mexican David Gonzalez.

On Wednesday, Nine Nepalese Sherpa guides submitted the Everest fixing ropes and all climbing preparation for them.

In 2014 an avalanche above the base camp killed 16 Sherpa guides, from then they were on strike to demand better pay and conditions.

On April 25, 2015, 19 people died in another avalanche at the Everest Base Camp including Google executive Dan Fredinburg. Last year the climbing season was devastated by the earthquake which hit Nepal killing more than 8,000 people and about 23,000 people were injured.

This year Nepal Government issued 289 Everest Climbing permits.
