Nepal Gorkha Earthquake Two Years On
Today, 25 April 2017 is the second anniversay of the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Nepal in 2015.
4.2 magnitude Earthquake on the eve of second anniversary of Nepal Earthquake 2015
A moderate tremor has been recorded in Sidhupalchok district on Monday on the day before of second anniversary of Nepal Earthquake 2015. 4.2 magnitude shake was recorded as an aftershock of the Nepal Gorkha Earthquake sequence.The tremor originated from near Baramchi, which lies north-east of the district headquaters Chautara.
More than 30,000 aftershocks followed the Nepal earthquake, which hit Barpak region of Gorkha district, at 11:56 am on April 25, 2015, in the first year, according to the NSC. The frequency of the aftershocks however has been gradually faded away with the time.
