Milke Danda Trekking

Milke Danda is the beautiful and popular trekking place located in the far eastern region of Nepal. Famous for breathtaking views of mt. Kanchenjunga and Khumbhakarna mountains, Milke danda is a Rhododendron forest area on the trekking trail between Taplejung and Basantapur Bazaar. Situated at an altitude of 3124m high from sea level, the trek provides an opportunity to have sunrise views over the Himalayan ranges of Mt. Kanchenjunga (8586m), Mt. Makalu (8463m) and Khumbhakarna along with the views of Gufa Pokhari and Lam Pokhari. Milke Danda is the wilderness trekking trail that starts from Basantapur or Tumlingtar and few days trekking that goes through the rhododendron forests, densly vegetated rare alpine flora and isolated villages of Terathum and Sankhuwasava.
