Popular Annapurna Trekking Route to Shut Down for Three Days

The world famous trekking route Annapurna trekking is to closed for three days from May 10 to 12 to trekkers and tourists. The route will remain closed for the security reasons of Indian Prime Minister Modi's visit to Mustang and Muktinath on May 11.
The District Administration Office, Manang has stated that the trekking route has been kept off limits to tourists for three days as the visitors going to Muktinath from Manang use the route and cross over the Thorang-La mountain pass to Mustang.
There will not be any trips proceed to Annapurna Circuit Trekking due to the prohibition of tourists trekking to Thorong La pass from Manang and the trekking route from Manang side from May 10 to 12 will be closed.
Modi's Visit in Nepal
The foreign affairs ministries of Nepal and India have announced the two-day state visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Nepal from May 10 to 12, at the invitation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. The Indian PM will be accorded a ceremonial welcome at Tundhikhel in Kathmandu on May 11, according to a statement. The visiting dignitary will also inspect a guard of honour.During the visit to Nepal, Indian PM Modi will visit Janakpur and Muktinath alongside Kathmandu. There will be civic receptions in Kathmandu and Janakpur in honor to him.
