Nagarjun Jamacho Hill Day Hike

While hiking in Nagarjun National Park, you will be getting to hilltop the Jamacho, situated at about 7,000 feet, just 5 kilometers steep uphill climbing path. Jamacho hill or monastery is the day hike place situated very close to Kathmandu from where you can have the wonderful mountain views of Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and Langtang Himalayas ranges. The then Nagarjun Royal forest is the renowned place for hikers and bird enthusiasts where you can encounter with blue magpies, Kalij Pheasants, bonelli's eagles and many other species of birds. Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park day hiking is a nature trail walk through the protected jungle within Kathmandu valley.


Trekking Buzz organize this private day hiking trip on fixed departure basis starting right at 7-7:30AM from Thamel, Kathmandu. Within 15-20 minutes after we started drive to Nagarjun National park entrance gate. Reaching there, we start our day hiking trip up the hill through steepy stone path until we reach to the hill top. There are small buddhist monasteries on the top of Nagarjun Hill where there is a big festival on the full moon day of Baisakh celebrated by Buddhist people. From the tower, you can have 360 degree view of entire Kathmandu valley along with the snow capped mountain peaks.
